Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Organization Information

Organization administrators provide organization names, descriptions, logos, and other profile information.

Contact Information

Organizations may add contacts (roster members, donors, supporters) including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses. Organizations are responsible for having appropriate consent to store this information.

Contribution Information

When you make a contribution, we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Payment details are processed and stored by Stripe — Fieldraiser does not store credit card numbers or bank account details directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To process contributions and send receipts
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, contribution receipts)
  • To deliver email campaigns on behalf of organizations you are connected to
  • To improve the Service

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

  • With organizations you interact with: When you donate to or join an organization, they can see your name and email address.
  • With payment processors: Stripe processes all payment transactions.
  • With email providers: We use Resend to deliver emails.
  • When required by law: We may disclose information in response to legal process.

4. Email Communications

Organizations may send bulk email campaigns to their contacts through Fieldraiser. Every bulk email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from one organization does not affect emails from other organizations. Transactional emails (receipts, password resets) cannot be unsubscribed from.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information as long as your account is active. Contribution records are retained for legal and accounting purposes. Contact records are managed by the organization and may be soft-deleted (deactivated) by organization administrators.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure payment processing (Stripe). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information through your account settings
  • Update or correct your account information
  • Unsubscribe from organization email campaigns
  • Request deletion of your account by contacting us

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These are necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
